Our Services
Overview Analysis
This first step is the most important step. Doing an Overview Analysis helps draw out what the goals are in relation to the land you own or want to own. This is where we take philosophy and ideas and place them with what is practical and possible. The Overview Analysis is where we start to see the general direction for management which we call the Land Owner Vision.
Along with the Land Owner Vision some specific management practices emerge and with knowledge of what additional Specific Analysis may be in order.
Specific Analysis
Specific Analysis is looking at what specific management makes sense in the scope of the property itself.
For example, if we know the the desired direction is to use grazing animals to regenerate the land, what are the actions that would need to take place? What is the likely carrying capacity for specific animal systems, and is it even feasible?
Another example would be, to investigate if a suspected oak wilt disease center is in fact oak wilt and making a mitigation plan.
Specific Analysis is the area of consulting that can lead to more knowledge of the property and can actually bring more clarity to the Overview Analysis which may end up leading to change in the Land Owner Vision.
Management is acting on the knowledge we gained from the Overview Analysis and Specific Analysis.
We offer some Management services. If we don’t offer a desired service we try to point you in the right direction.
Some of the services we do offer are…
Oak wilt treatment.
Bee hive leasing for ag exemptions (also bee removals which can be leased out for ag exemptions or managed).
Grazing animals (certain situations only).
Working with other management services to direct them. For example placement and design for a stock tank (pond).
These services may be one time, continual or anything in between. This is a great place for a land owner to get their hands dirty if they so desire. Instead of hiring someone else this is a great place to save money if you have the capability yourself. Doing your own Management where it makes sense is one of the best ways to feel connected to the land.
